The interior of our restaurant is located in the former depot of horse trams. Historical space has retained its character, but it was a challenge for designers because it lacked windows. – Creating interiors, like theatrical scenography, is an adventure. In this case, it was necessary to face the interior without windows. Until recently, the character of Krakow was created by cellars, nooks and crannies, dark alleys, hidden and secret places. Today, we love space with a view of the world. An investor with whom we have the privilege to work is fortunately a lover of Krakow, and only then an entrepreneur. So we took care of the old tissue, but its “treatment” deprived us of the chance to discover old structures that would make the interior a fashionable post-industrial charm – says Wojciech Niewiński, architect.
